# What happens if all the work in the Sprint Backlog is completed before the end of the Sprint?

If all the work in the [Sprint Backlog](https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/glossary/sprint-backlog/) is completed before the Sprint ends, the Developers can decide how to use the remaining time most effectively. Typically, they would collaborate with the [Product Owner](https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/glossary/product-owner/) to pull additional work from the [Product Backlog](https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/glossary/a-scrum-artifact-that-consists-of-an-ordered-list-of-the-work-to-be-done-in-order-to-create-maintain-and-sustain-a-product-managed-by-the-product-owner/) that they [Forecast](https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/glossary/forecast/) can be completed within the remaining Sprint time.

Alternatively, the Developers might use this time for process improvement tasks identified during the [Sprint Retrospective](https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/glossary/sprint-retrospective/) or to refine the [Product Backlog](https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/glossary/a-scrum-artifact-that-consists-of-an-ordered-list-of-the-work-to-be-done-in-order-to-create-maintain-and-sustain-a-product-managed-by-the-product-owner/). This approach ensures that any spare time is utilised productively, contributing to the overall [Project](https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/glossary/project/) progress.
