# What is the main purpose of the Sprint Review?

The main purpose of the [Sprint Review](https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/glossary/sprint-review/) is to inspect the [Increment](https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/glossary/increment/) and assess the progress towards the [Product Goal](https://www.thescrummaster.co.uk/glossary/product-goal/). This helps the team and stakeholders to make informed decisions about the next steps.
