I recently rediscovered an article about Scrum published on Forbes.com by Steve Denning.
Steve does a wonderful job of explaining what Scrum is, its history and why it is so important.
What I remember about it in particular from when it was written, and what caught my attention again, this time, is the following statement:
“If there was a Nobel Prize for management, and if there was any justice in the world, I believe that the prize would be awarded, among others, to Jeff Sutherland, Ken Schwaber and Mike Cohn for their contributions to the invention of Scrum.”
I completely agree! Five years have passed since this was published and Scrum has continued to transform the way we work for the better. It really is changing the world!
I am proud to be part of this movement towards improving the way we work and making software development, in particular, a true profession.
