Ultimate Scrum (TheScrumMaster.co.uk)

Ultimate Scrum

Ultimate Scrum is a hands-on, activity-based course that helps participants understand how Scrum enables teams to solve complex problems and deliver value more effectively.

Through a combination of discussion, practical exercises and team-based activities, participants experience Scrum by working together as Scrum Teams over a series of Sprints.

The course includes an attempt at TheScrumMaster.co.uk’s Ultimate Scrum I (US I) assessment. Participants who successfully pass the assessment earn the Ultimate Scrum I certification.

Course Overview

During this two-day course*, participants learn how to apply Scrum and experience new ways of working that help teams deliver value, respond to feedback and work together more effectively.

Participants work as Scrum Teams through a series of Sprints to solve realistic, complex problems. By learning Scrum while using Scrum, they experience the importance of empiricism, incremental delivery, frequent feedback and effective team collaboration.

The exercises expose participants to common challenges, misunderstandings and ineffective practices that teams encounter when applying Scrum. Participants learn to recognise the symptoms of these problems, understand their causes and identify practical ways to address them.

Our experienced trainers combine practical activities with discussion, reflection and real-world examples. Participants leave with a strong understanding of Scrum, an appreciation of the Agile mindset and practical tools they can use when applying Scrum within their own teams and organisations.

* When delivered in person, this course is generally run over two consecutive days. Live Virtual courses may be delivered across a greater number of shorter sessions.
