Ultimate Delivery Manager is an interactive, activity-based course that helps participants develop the skills needed to support the effective delivery of products and services.
Through a combination of discussion, practical exercises and team-based activities, participants explore how Delivery Managers help multidisciplinary teams maintain momentum, overcome obstacles and continuously improve how they work.
The course will include an attempt at TheScrumMaster.co.uk’s Ultimate Delivery Manager I (UDM I) assessment. Participants who successfully pass the assessment will earn the Ultimate Delivery Manager I certification. The assessment and certification are coming soon.
Course Overview
During this two-day course*, participants explore the responsibilities, skills and behaviours of an effective Delivery Manager. They learn how Delivery Managers help teams focus on valuable outcomes, establish effective ways of working and create transparency around progress, risks, issues and dependencies.
The course examines how to apply Agile and Lean principles in different delivery environments. Participants learn how to select and adapt approaches according to the needs of the team, product, service and organisation rather than applying a single process in every situation.
Participants practise techniques for planning and forecasting, visualising work, improving flow, managing dependencies and maintaining a sustainable delivery pace. They also explore how Delivery Managers build effective multidisciplinary teams, facilitate collaboration, address team dynamics and remove impediments.
Our experienced trainers use realistic delivery scenarios, practical exercises and group discussion throughout the course. Participants leave with techniques they can apply to improve delivery confidence, stakeholder communication, continuous improvement and the overall effectiveness of their teams.
* When delivered in person, this course is generally run over two consecutive days. Live Virtual courses may be delivered across a greater number of shorter sessions.
