Here are some further instructions on how to prepare the tools you will need for our Masterclass. Please take some time to read and prepare well in advance of any live sessions. Do not leave this until the last day.
The tools we will use are free. We recommend using your own computer (rather than a work computer) if possible, to avoid any issues with admin rights and security policies.
Zoom
Zoom is the live video tool we will use for the class. You should download, install and use the Zoom app to ensure stability. Ensure you have updated to the latest version of the Zoom app. Test your WebCam, Microphone and Speakers with Zoom well in advance of the live sessions.
If your company’s IT policies do not allow Zoom, you will need to get this restriction lifted or use another unrestricted device. If this is impossible, you may be able to use Zoom via your web browser.
If you are attending with colleagues, each participant must use a separate device to access Zoom.
Mural
Mural is an online Whiteboard tool we use to create and share content together during live sessions. Test the link supplied well in advance of the class.
You can either create a Mural account or access as a visitor. Please add your name when prompted to make identification possible. If you have any problems accessing Mural, please use a new email address that has not previously been used with a Mural account.
Use a computer/laptop (rather than a mobile device) and Google Chrome (or another modern browser) when working with Mural to increase usability, speed and stability.
If your company security policies prevent access to Mural, you will need to get this restriction lifted or use a different network.
Misc. Details
Please arrive well before the start time of any live session and ensure you are all set up and ready to go on time. The call will typically open a few minutes before the start time.
The live sessions will be recorded and shared with your cohort. This is to ensure you have a record to revisit after the sessions.
