2016 has been another big year for me. At the start of the year I decided to continue to focus my efforts on Scrum training globally. I ended up being even busier than 2015, which was great.
I ran over 40 courses in 12 countries. Some of the more unexpected destinations I visited included Recife (Brazil), North Bay (Canada) and Tbilisi (Georgia). I have had the opportunity to teach 100’s of wonderful people about Scrum and I have learned a huge amount from them in return. If you are reading this – Thank you!
This year we have expanded the range of training courses offered via TheScrumMaster.co.uk. Alongside the full range of Scrum.org courses, we now offer Kanban training in partnership with TheKanbanMaster.co.uk and Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) training with LeSS.works. There are many more new courses to be announced in 2017.
Some highlights of this year for me were teaching at the United Nations and helping a hospital in Brazil to use empiricism and Scrum to handle the effects of the Zika virus.
In the quiet time over the Christmas break I will create my plan for 2017. I already have some ideas which include more and diverse Scrum and Agile training, developing some new skills and launching a new product. Here’s to 2017 and the new challenges it will bring!
How was 2016 for you?
