The Professional Scrum Master course from Scrum.org is an excellent way to learn more about Scrum.
In our courses, we get a range of people with all levels of experience from beginners to Scrum Masters with many years of experience. All are welcome and all will benefit from what they will learn on the course.
Although we cover everything you need to know in the course, you will get far more out of it if you do some preparation in advance. None of this is compulsory, but if you understand the basics before the course you will find you take away a lot more knowledge at the end.
- At a minimum I would suggest you review the Scrum Guide. It is a very short document concisely summarises the Scrum framework. It should take you no more than 30 minutes to read and this time will be well spent.
- Take the Scrum Open assessment. This is an excellent way to test your existing knowledge. it is free and you can take it as many times as you like. It will also help prepare you for the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) assessment that you may choose to take after you have completed the course.
It is your learning experience so none of this is mandatory, but you will get more out of the experience if you do at least some of this stuff in advance of the course.
