Introducing the Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) Assessment from Scrum.org

Scaled Professional Scrum Assessment
Scaled Professional Scrum Assessment

Scrum.org have recently launched the Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) assessment and certification.

As with the other Scrum.org offerings, you can take the SPS assessment and gain certification without attending any course.

SPS is an intermediate level assessment aimed at demonstrating that you know how to manage and participate in scaled software and product development using Nexus. It confirms that you know appropriate agile practices and scaling fundamentals which you could apply to multiple Scrum teams working together. The free Nexus Guide will help you to prepare and pass the assessment.

The SPS assessment is comprised of 40 multiple-choice questions. You have 60 minutes to complete the assessment and must score 80%+ to achieve the certification. As with all Scrum.org assessments, it is challenging and designed to test your real understanding of Scaled Professional Scrum and Nexus.

  1. Hi Simon,

I was managing a Release management team in one of large government department recently and very keen to review some of the scaled agile practices in the industry. I came across number of scaled Agile practices (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus etc.) during my own research and Scaled Scrum approach in Nexus framework seem to be very impressive in its offering due to pragmatic approach to addressing common implementation challenges apparent in larger departments (such as addressing inter/intra dependencies, integration issues etc.) as well as close resemblance to widely used and much familiar Scrum framework. However, SAFe seem to be very popular among larger government departments perhaps one reason being the level of confidence for the management due to its higher adoption rate. Since many of the larger enterprises use Scrum framework for development efforts, it appears to me that the Nexus marketing and promotions efforts needs to be broadened to increase the adoption rate and perhaps reintroduce the Nexus certification discounts.

Needless to say that I would be interested in taking up the exam if such discount is offered for Scaled Professional Scrum assessment.

    1. Hi Konstantin,

The offer has now expired I believe (as of 31/12/2015). You can still take SPS, but it will be at the full price now.

      Regards

      Simon

  2. Hi Simon,
May you please send me the discount code for the SPS assessment?
    Thanks in advance.
