The Scrum Master is one of the three key accountabilities within a Scrum Team. They are responsible for establishing Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide. This involves ensuring that everyone within the Scrum Team, as well as the broader organisation, understands and practices Scrum theory effectively. By doing so, the Scrum Master helps the team adhere to Scrum principles and values, fostering a productive and efficient work environment.
Additionally, the Scrum Master is accountable for the effectiveness of the Scrum Team. They create conditions that enable effective delivery by facilitating, Coaching, teaching, and mentoring the team. These activities help ensure that the team can work cohesively, overcome obstacles, and continuously improve their processes.
