What is the typical size of a Scrum Team and why?

The typical size of a Scrum Team is ten or fewer people. This size is considered small enough to stay Agile and large enough to complete significant work within a Sprint. Smaller teams tend to communicate better and are generally more productive due to reduced coordination complexity.

However, while small teams are desirable, they must also be large enough to encompass a diverse set of skills required to develop the product. This balance ensures that the team can operate independently and effectively without over-reliance on other teams.
