The Sprint Backlog is one of the three essential Scrum artifacts. It comprises the set of Product Backlog items selected for the Sprint, accompanied by a plan for delivering the Increment and achieving the Sprint Goal. The Sprint Backlog is initially created during Sprint Planning and is continuously updated throughout the Sprint.
The Sprint Backlog represents a Forecast by the Developers regarding the valuable work anticipated in the next Increment. It provides visibility into all the work the Developers consider necessary to meet the Sprint Goal. This artifact is detailed enough to allow the Developers to inspect progress daily at the Daily Scrum.
