The Scrum Master does not have to attend the Daily Scrum, although it may be helpful. The Developers are responsible for running the meeting, and the Scrum Master’s attendance is optional. If the Scrum Master does attend, their role should be to observe and support rather than to direct the meeting.
The presence of the Scrum Master can be beneficial in identifying any obstacles that the team might face and helping to remove them. However, the primary focus of the Daily Scrum should remain on the Developers and their daily planning activities.
