What is the fundamental organisational unit in Scrum?

The fundamental organisational unit of Scrum is the Scrum Team. This team is collectively accountable for creating a valuable and useful Increment every Sprint. The Scrum Team includes one Scrum Master, one Product Owner, and Developers. Unlike traditional team structures, there are no sub-teams or hierarchies within a Scrum Team.

This structure emphasises collaboration and equality among team members, ensuring everyone has a direct stake in the outcome. By removing hierarchies, Scrum encourages open communication and shared responsibility, which are essential for Agile development.
