The Sprint Goal is an output of the Sprint Planning event and forms part of the Sprint Backlog. Every Sprint must have a Sprint Goal. During Sprint Planning, the Product Owner plays a crucial role in advancing the product towards the Product Goal by collaborating with the Developers to discuss the objective and related Product Backlog items.
The Product Owner and Developers negotiate and agree on a realistic Sprint Goal that can be achieved within the Sprint. This collaborative process ensures that the Sprint Goal is both meaningful and attainable, providing a clear direction for the team’s work.
