What are the five events in Scrum?

The five events in Scrum are the Sprint, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Each event is designed to provide opportunities for inspection and adaptation.

The Sprint is a time-boxed period during which a potentially releasable Increment is created. Sprint Planning involves the entire Scrum Team and sets the agenda for the upcoming Sprint by selecting Product Backlog items and defining a Sprint Goal. The Daily Scrum is a short, daily meeting for the Developers to synchronise activities and create a plan for the next 24 hours. The Sprint Review is held at the end of the Sprint to inspect the Increment and adapt the Product Backlog if needed. The Sprint Retrospective is the final event, where the team reflects on the past Sprint and plans for improvements in the next one.
